SHIPMENTS AND RETURNS

At Seam Oasis, we strive to provide you with a seamless and worry-free shopping experience. To ensure the safe and prompt delivery of our exquisite Caridina Shrimp, we offer two shipping options:

  1. USPS Priority Shipping (2-4 Days): Enjoy the convenience of USPS Priority shipping at a flat rate of $20. This option ensures your order reaches you within 2-4 business days, packaged securely to preserve the vitality of your shrimp.

  2. UPS Next Day Air: For those who prefer expedited service, we offer UPS Next Day Air starting at $50. With this option, your shrimp will be delivered to your doorstep (1 Day transit), guaranteeing the utmost freshness and vitality.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive shipping information, including a tracking number to monitor your package’s journey. It’s crucial to note that selecting UPS Next Day Air does not guarantee next-day delivery from the order date, and Priority Mail 2-4 day shipping does not imply delivery within 2-4 days after placing the order. The indicated number of days refers to the transit time (estimated delivery time post-shipping) for the chosen service and excludes handling time.

While signatures are not mandatory for any package, encompassing both USPS and UPS shipments, we strongly recommend customers to be available to receive the package, particularly for the safety and well-being of our live animals.

Shipping Schedule:
At present, our standard handling time ranges from 1-3 business days. However, there are circumstances that may necessitate a longer holding period for your order:

  1. Temperature Considerations: In our commitment to the well-being of our cherished Caridina Shrimp, we closely monitor weather conditions. If temperatures in your location fall outside the optimal range, we may temporarily  suspend shipping. We strongly advise opting for UPS Next Day Air to ensure the safe transit of live animals.

  2. Public Holidays: Please note that shipping may be affected during public holidays when USPS or UPS does not deliver or pick up.

For Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico Customers:

  • Unfortunately, shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is currently unavailable due to severe governmental restrictions and a significant likelihood of delays.

  • For shipping to Alaska, we exclusively offer UPS Next Day Air to ensure the prompt and reliable delivery of live shrimp. Also, it’s important to note that during the winter months, orders to Alaska may be subject to cancellation due to unpredictable weather conditions, even with UPS Next Day Air shipping. 

    To ascertain the feasibility of shipping to your area in Alaska during winter, kindly contact us at support@seamoasis.com before placing your order.

Local Pickups:
For our valued customers in Southern California, we welcome local pickups. To arrange a pickup, kindly contact us and schedule an appointment. We look forward to meeting you in person.

DOA-Free Guarantee:
At Seam Oasis, we stand by the health and vitality of our Caridina Shrimp. All USPS/UPS Next Day Air shipments come with our DOA-Free Guarantee. In the unfortunate event that your shrimp do not survive transit, we offer the following options:

1. Store Credit or Refund: We provide store credit or a refund for the cost of the deceased shrimp(s).
2. Replacement Shipment: We can ship replacement shrimp to you. Please note, for replacement shipments, only the shipping fee is charged.

DOA Claim Procedure:
To make a DOA claim, follow these simple steps:

1. Capture Clear Photos: Take clear pictures of the deceased shrimp within 6 hours of delivery confirmation, while they are still in the unopened bag.
2. Include Details: Take a second picture with the deceased shrimp laid out, displaying the shipping label clearly.
3. Submit Your Claim: Send the pictures to us via email with the subject line "Seam Oasis-DOA" for expedited processing.

Important Conditions:
Please note that our DOA-Free Guarantee will not apply in the following cases:
1. Customer Availability: If the customer is unable to receive the package on the first delivery attempt due to their own circumstances.


2. External Factors Affecting Delivery: If external factors such as adverse weather conditions or USPS/UPS service-related issues, impact the timely delivery of your package or lead to the package being left outside for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures.


3. Missed Claim Procedure: if the customer does not adhere to the DOA claim procedure within the specified timeframe.


4. Address and Forwarding: the shipment must be delivered to the correct address and not forwarded to another address unless the package is delivered on the same day. Forwarding packages often results in longer transit times and will void our DOA-Free Guarantee. Please note that if the USPS/UPS mistakenly forwards your shipment, we do not cover such errors.


5. Package Retrieval: Packages held at the U.S. Post Office/United Parcel Service location must be collected by the customer, or a redelivery must be rescheduled within 1 day from the initial delivery to the U.S. Post Office/ United Parcel Service location for the DOA-Free Guarantee to remain valid. This applies to cases where the customer chooses to hold the package and instances where USPS/UPS decides to hold the package at their discretion.
